Documentary (feature) - ‘Elise Christie - No Filter’
“This was life or death; I didn’t know how to survive without an Olympic medal.”
From just 15 years old, Elise Christie sacrificed everything to chase Olympic glory. Short Track Speed Skating became her identity, her obsession, her entire world. She rose to extraordinary heights - World Record holder, World Champion, and one of Great Britain’s most decorated winter athletes.
But the Olympic stage, the arena she had built her life around, became the place where everything unravelled.
Under the glare of the world’s media, Elise endured crushing disqualifications, career-threatening injury, public ridicule and even death threats. Each Games left deeper scars. When she finally stepped away from the sport, she was broken - physically, mentally, and emotionally - struggling to separate her worth from a medal she never won.
Now, years later, with a daughter and a life beyond the ice, Elise is ready to confront the story she once couldn’t tell. In candid, unfiltered interviews, she reflects on the euphoric highs and the devastating lows of 15 years in elite sport - and the cost of tying your survival to success.
Blending raw testimony from Elise and those who stood beside her with compelling archive footage and breathtaking on-ice cinematography, this intimate and moving documentary reveals the human being behind the headlines. Directed by Danielle Sellwood, with cinematography by Natasha Brooks, editing by Menna Wakeford and exec produced by Jo Osbourne (head of Womens Sports Sky), this all-female filmmaking team crafts a powerful portrait of resilience, identity, and the price of ambition.
‘Elise Christie - No Filter’ will be available on Sky Sports and Sky Documentaries from 25th February 2026.
Documentary (feature) - ‘Untethered’
“What I’m really hoping it that when I’ve accomplished this, that I’ll finally feel…whole.”
Untethered premiered at Kendal Mountain Festival on November 21st and is now available on Sky Sports Main Event, Sky Documentaries, Sky Sports + and Sky Sports Mix as well as On Demand.
Melanie Barratt, a gold-medal winning Paralympian, swims tethered to an elastic bungee in a small pool on her own. But, after 20 years of fitting personal goals around motherhood, new ambitions are burning - she’s desperate to try open-water swimming. Being blind, the only way to do this is to ask for help, but asking for help is a complex and often controversial issue for disabled people. Melanie has always hidden her disability because of social stigma and internalised ableism, but, the lure of new adventures is greater than the shame she feels. What happens next surpasses all expectations as she not only finds community, but also an increasing pride in her identity as a disabled woman. With the support of her ‘Ironfish’ friends, she not only learns to swim in open-water, but enters the record books by becoming the first blind woman to swim the English Channel.
This female led production has been created with accessibility as a priority. Audio description has been crafted to combine with narration for all to experience and the colour grade is designed with strong contrast and enhanced colour for our visually impaired protagonist and community to be able to enjoy. Creative open captions are embedded, and for UK audiences there is expressive British Sign Language. Disabled creatives have been involved throughout, including our composer, audio describer, BSL interpreter and narrative consultants.

The first in a 3 part series of short films documenting the families expeditions, “Big Walls and Bedtime Stories” will explore how, given the opportunity, children are far more capable than most realise and can accomplish extraordinary things (with a good dose of parenting realities along the way!).
